Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

The Service is provided by Karen AI Technologies, LLC, a Delaware limited liability company ("Karen AI", "we", "us"). By accessing or using Karen AI ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Karen AI provides automated customer service assistance, call-handling, appointment scheduling, and consumer-rights guidance.

Karen may contact third parties on your behalf based on the information you provide. If you connect Google Calendar, Karen may also read your availability and create, update, or cancel calendar events to schedule appointments at your request.

Karen AI does not provide legal advice, medical advice, financial advice, or professional services requiring a license. Any information provided is for general informational purposes only and should not be relied upon as a substitute for professional counsel.

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

3. User Responsibilities

By using the Service, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate, complete information to enable Karen to act on your behalf.
  • Use the Service only for lawful purposes.
  • Not impersonate others or misrepresent your authority when requesting calls.
  • Comply with all applicable laws, including call-recording and consent laws in your jurisdiction.
  • Verify any outcomes or information received from third parties contacted by Karen.

You understand that the Service relies on the accuracy of the information you provide.

4. Third-Party Interactions

When Karen contacts businesses, insurers, healthcare providers, or other third parties on your behalf, Karen AI does not control and is not responsible for:

  • the accuracy of information provided by third parties,
  • decisions or actions taken by those third parties, or
  • the outcome of any request or dispute.

5. Google Calendar Integration

Connecting Google Calendar is optional. By connecting it, you authorize Karen AI to access your Google Calendar to read your availability and to create, update, or cancel events to schedule appointments on your behalf. You are responsible for reviewing any appointment Karen schedules and for ensuring you have the authority to act on the calendar you connect.

Your use of Google services through Karen AI is also subject to Google's terms, and Karen AI's use of Google user data is described in, and governed by, our Privacy Policy. You can disconnect the integration at any time within the app or revoke access from your Google Account settings.

6. Payments, Prepaid Minutes, and Auto-Reload

Karen AI is billed through a prepaid minute wallet: you buy minutes in advance and calls draw them down. There is no subscription. Prices are presented at checkout, and fees are non-refundable unless required by law.

Auto-reload is optional and off by default. If you turn it on, you authorize us to charge your saved payment method the reload amount you selected each time your minute balance runs out, until you turn it off. A single call that runs past your balance can trigger more than one reload charge. Reload charges are capped at $1,000 per day. We send a receipt for every reload charge and a yearly reminder that auto-reload is on, including the amount and how to cancel.

You can turn auto-reload off at any time in Settings, with the same switch used to turn it on, and the change takes effect immediately. If your balance is negative when you save a payment method (for example, a call ran past your minutes and the charge was declined), the outstanding amount is charged when the card is saved.

7. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Karen AI is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from:

  • reliance on information provided by the Service,
  • third-party actions or inactions, or
  • your misuse of the Service.

Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that violates these Terms or is otherwise harmful to the Service.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
